The foxfire headband is a head band four helmets and is useful as it aids in visibility and position.
Upon opening the packaging the band is smooth to the touch and has no markings other than the company's logo.
The weight of the band is what I would consider negligible.
Positives it doe allow for easy storage of small wedges on your helmet for quick access. Once charged by either sun light or artificial light, it will stay bright for a few hours.
Negative – The bands tend to stain easily when used in heavy smoke or debris conditions. Also, of my two bands tested, one did develop a split quickly upon normal use in an area not near a sharp edge.
The band is made of High temp resistant silicone.
